DFSS
Acronym for Design for Six Sigma. It is an approach for designing a new product or service that ensures quality and efficiency are accounted for in the development process in order to minimize production and customer problems.
It was built off the Six Sigma methodology, using a modified version of DMAIC (called DMADV) to engage all stakeholders in the process early on (called concurrent engineering) so that all requirements are considered before the design is finalized.
