Product Quantity Process Routing

Also known as Product Family Grouping Matrix or Product Quantity Matrix.
A matrix used to determine how to group similar products or services together, based on the similarity of steps, processes and equipment.
Once the families are determined (where 80-90% of the steps are similar), then the process can be mapped, and flow can be streamlined. This is typically done with a VSM or MIFD.
